Yeah I realize that I didn’t do my weekly update on Friday. >.< 3 reports for school commanded my attention, and so that’s what I worked on. Still not completely finished, but I do have everything needed to write them up!
At this time, Obama has basically said “No Bailout Money” to GM and Chrysler. Dow and company don’t like that news apparently (At the time of this post.) So it seems the government wants to try a new route, with a “plan” to be unveiled at like 11 a.m. EST. Oh and GM boss quits. <.<
In other coolio news, oil is down. XD My medium-term prediction (next 3 months or so) is another run-down on oil. Storage capacity is overly full, so the cost for the companies to keep them there will soon be at the point where a discount sale price is needed to maintain some profit. But that may not mean lower gas prices this summer (It could lag behind the oil price for weeks), with distilling capacity also shrinking.
It’ll be an interesting week, up and down and all around is the attitude for the week. XD

Week ended somewhat well for the stock market. XD So I was wrong, this week’s ending is 54.4 points higher than it was last week. XD Oil is still trying to find stable ground hovering at $48-$51 all week, though suppliers are having a really hard time finding storage, with ships acting as storage in some places. They’ll have to sell eventually, so “discount” oil may drive prices down. To me, the whole buy-our-debt that the government may do is a bad idea. XD What if the downturn is over, and this is the bottom? (Just saying) Inflation would put us back to square one again.
As for the AIG Tax of 90%, well that’s just wrong. If Congress takes their bailout money by retroactively taxing them to death, then what will prevent them from doing it to the average Joe (Scenario: We need to tax all pay at 50% to “pay” for this!) A proper way would be to deny bailout funds until the bonuses are paid back. Or maybe withholding 2x the amount of the bonuses from future payments.
Somaliland Riches Waiting to be Commercialized…

For an unrecognized nation, Somaliland is still doing quite well, especially seeing how the rest of Somalia is still locked into brutal wars. Having to rely on itself, Somaliland could now be posed to enter the international community. Oil and natural gas deposits have been discovered both onshore and offshore. Full story here:

So why isn’t Somaliland being granted recognition? It is a stable country with little violence, especially when compared to the Somalia Civil War. It already relies on itself, so by granting recognition, we can be sure that it won’t become an “aid-dependent” nation (i.e. Kiribati, Nauru, Ethiopia, etc.), unless something bad happened, like a drought. On the business side, the first country that recognizes Somaliland will have the potential for a “first-come, first-serve” basis. Enriching Somaliland and the other country even further.

The fishing contest is still going on, Yako having to get help due to her appetite of eating everything she catches. XD Ishigaki and Shizuka are trying to out compete each other. Ishigaki pulls out a morbidly obese person and passes it off as his catch of 170 cm. XD Yako’s not having any lucky, she also caught the “fish” after the water is electrocuted. >.> Frantic that Neuro may win, Yako considers donning an oxygen-less scuba suit to try and catch a fish. XD Neuro meanwhile, strikes up a chat with Sasazuka, and Yako sees this as a chance to chat with Uncle. He talks about his daughter and how brilliant she was for questioning his experiments. The peace is about to be disturbed as someone/some freak swims toward them after disregarding their sign. XD
Weekly Market Look

Four days of gain for the Dow, a couple big, today small. Nothing big really going on. XD S&P, in it’s usually nature, lost big (over the last few months) and wins few. Never understood why that happens with it, Dow goes for large and small, while Nasdaq is just there most of the time. XD Next week I am guessing that the Dow will fall, mainly due to: profit taking, “bad” news, and “follow” the leader mind-set (ex: Fall in Europe= Fall in Japan= Fall in America.) There may be some good days, but mainly under 100-point level. I still treat anything above 100 point swing as suspicous, especially when the economy is thought to be getting worse.
On the medium-term (like a month really), oil is stablizing as summer comes along, plus Opec getting desperate for higher gas prices (To me that would be a shot in the foot, it’ll create a huge bubble in a veryyyy short time, leading to an even bigger fall.) Gas prices here have remained almost steady for the last few weeks at $1.75, recently changed to $1.69 at Wally-World today. >.>
Overall a mixed next week. XD
Alive Chapters 35-37

Chapter 35- Thank-You

Hirose is pretty-much all powerful, with his wish for a world without people trying to come true. A flashback occurs remembering a fight that Taisuke was in, protecting Hirose from bullies, but Hiro still feels lonely even with his friends around…Taisuke is observing the flashback, angry at Hirose. Hirose seems bent on torturing Taisuke, so the tables turn when Taisuke accuses of being afraid of him. But it’s a ploy, Taisuke grabs hold of Hiro and slowly engulfs them both in flames, to end their lives and wishes. The last pages are devoted to a few scenes of a prenant women giving birth, to what I think is a “new” enemy. We shall see…
Chapter 36- Intermission

Amamiya is back at work, forever changed by what she saw at Hokkaido. She seems sullen and confused about whether she should continue to investigate the comrades. A recap on how the mass suicides almost leads her to destroy her file on it all. But she hesitates and hears that Oda is being persuaded into going to the lake again. Determination again renewed, she goes off with Oda (forcing him really.) Then it turns to Bubble Man, aka Yura. Seems he is living with someone, making a nasty mess in her apartment. Reminiscing about his part at the lake, it seems his left arm is gone. He leaves his new home in search for Akuro’s heart, and the reporters are in traffic going to Hokkaido.
Recaps aren’t usually my thing. XD They usually seem out of place, but this one appeared to connect better with the events in the immediate after. Hopefully a change of pace is in store. XD
Chapter 36- Still Alive

2 years later right off the bat. -.- Yuta is at a school with a creepy girl taking pictures of him. XD But Nami shows up, much to the dismay of everyone…Both of them go to Taisuke’s apartment celebrating his birthday with his sister, who is still distraught of Taisuke’s passing. Flashback again! Basically how both Nami and Yuta went on to tell Taisuke’s sister about the news, and where they are now…Back to school, new girl in class gets to sit by Yuta~ She seems creepy, more so than the other girls. She remarks to herself about seeing Yuta. Same thing happens to Nami with a strange man while on the train-ride home. Then the pages move to a facility, where a large black rock is being examined by scientists. Things keep getting stranger. XD
Chapter 37- I Know

That strange girl is still sitting by Yuta, being rowdy. In gym she stares at Yuta while dodging a ball, quite suspicous. Meanwhile at Yokosuka, the reporters are getting the dirt on the “living rock” the military has kept secret of. Ron-kun (the blob-like thing) is travelling with them, scared that the “heart” is beating. Meanwilte (yet again) Nami is at school doing a high jump, while on the way home that freaky guy is watching her again. XD He tracks her down to the girls locker room, she tries to kick him in the gut, but it fails and he runs off. Back at school with Yuta, that strange girl jumps out the building (literally) and lands safely, Yuta is fully convinced that she’s a comrade and attempts isolation. She dodges and reveals that she knows where Taisuke is. :S Chapter ends there, with Yuta dumbfounded at that statement. Gah, getting hard to keep up with the mayhem. XD

I could offer a series of dandy excuses for not writing for the last…..few months. But I won’t. XD I’ll just say school is first, work and TV and Computer second, and everything third. Simple categorizing of my everyday life. XD Thus, I will try and update on Fridays, my now self-prescribe No-homework-or-chores Day. Maybe update on Sundays, we shall see. >.> Overall, work is dismal withpay cut coming this coming Friday. I have been playing Pokemon Diamond, which is fun, anyone who wants to fight just ring.

Hmmm, the economy is dead. >.> Will be dead. <.< Until 2011. Then painfully slow growth. But unemployment/misery/media likes to act like the world is ending won’t be at the 5% level until after 2013. But then again, it is wayyyy toooo early to even tell. XD Gas will peak at $2.37 in my town is my bet, maybe nationwide average as high as $2.75 for the summer. Before coming back down. I would like to get a chart up, for I *think* was close to my predictions last year. XD Except for that last spike, hurricanes ruin everything.
Oh, and I have to get used to this new layout. Quite different. <.<
