I hope everyone had a wonderous Christmas, and is enjoying their break (For students) or day off! With New Year’s almost here, it’ll be time to get thinking about school again. =) During my break I’ve still have read my favorite manga, Nougami Neuro and read a new one for me called Blame! Quite interesting, so I’ll keep reading it. =)

Chapter 170- True Character
With Genuine under Neuro’s control, he makes her spill everything she knows about Sicks. She seems quite willing to comply and to be the “higher” slave than Poor Yako. Sicks’s on the other hand prepares to use another pawn to try and rid of Neuro…Some good spoilers so that’s all I’ll spill on this chapter. Enjoy!

Chapter 172- Fishing
Relief chapter! Maybe! =P Sasazuka invited Yako and Neuro on a fishing trip! The force and the detective agency are out to enjoy the open sky~ Neuro, being himself, offers up a game to all. Whoever catches the largest fish can order the person who caught the fish how they please. Everyone catches large fish leaving Yako to try and avoid being Neuro’s slave again. But she’s fooled by Neuro, who thinks 12 steps ahead of everyone! Which is countered by Yako who brings in Mr. Honjou to help her out…..

A flash (? Beats me, I am not all too knowledge on computers~) on the type of painting commonly seen in James Pollock works. Also known as action-painting, the paint is put on the canvas as spontaneosly as possible as opposed to the careful application that is usually done. Methods of dripping, smearing, splashing, and using other body parts (Like the foot instead of the hand.)
It’s quite fun to just use to calm down- for me at least. =P

Because I’m still suffering from my cold somewhat plus being a little bit lazy (I admit it freely~), I’m just going to link the chapter 161 (And cover up to 167 in vague). A lot has happened though, so a brief summary:

Neuro is focusing on Sick’s as usual. Chapter 161 is flash-backy in sorts of Vijaya’s past and how he became corrupted by sicks. Now with Vijaya gone by suicide, the team is focusing on finding the New Bloodline’s hideout and now has to deal with the next member- Genuine the “Witch.”
(163 + 164) With Neuro seeking to train Yako at the gym, she runs into a man who punishes people for not committing their goals with hard labor in the basement. A bit of a “fun” chapter I could guess, though Neuro is only fun when he’s not torturing you. =P
165-167 is where the action is! Sasazuka contributes some police information on the location of the hideout, so Neuro jumps on the chance. The Detective Pair sneak into the building while the police prepare. Poor Yako and Neuro head off and encounter Genuine who sends a mutated deformed human at them, who’s quickly put down by Neuro. The police send a team there headed by Ishigaki and Shizuka. But it falls apart after entering and falling under the “spell” of the witch. Luckily before anyone shot each another, Neuro uses a flash grenade to snap them out of it and heads……

Genuine is remincising from the past, while Neuro is shoving poor Yako into a too-tigt venelator. It appears she was just as manipulative in the past as she is now. Flash-back ends suddenly when Neuro kicks down the door, quite brash no? Genuine reveals that the building is being destroyed around them, with the police scrambling to get out and now the fight begins! How to describe the face Neuro gave to Genuine……CREEPY!

Neuro intends to “train” Genuine and her minions, and he’s a true sadist at the moment….He destroys her army quickly and has her cornered, takes away her whip and pronouces her plans as basically dumb for letting him attack. She pulls out a bomb trigger as the last second, but Neuro had a plan! He used Yako to go find the fuselage with his little demon eyes to cut the lines. With Genuine exhausted mentally, she flashes back to Sicks, but Neuro takes that away as well. Sick’s just at that moment, tunes in to the fight to see Genuine licking Neuro’s shoes. Irony? Cruel? Sadist.
And then a little game to finish the chapter out~ Seems Neuro wins every round~ lol
Afgan Troops Increase

20,000-30,000 troops will be sent to Afganistan next year. There are currently about 30,000 U.S. troops already….
“The deployment of additional troops was “directly tied” to the gradual withdrawal from Iraq over the course of the next year, he added.”
So with the U.S. beginning to pull out of Iraq, the focus will be on Afghanistan again, where the fighting has been mull until recently. It seems to me that most Americans have forgotten about Afghanistan, and think we are all done there. But even Obama said he wanted to increase Afghan troop levels, though maybe not as high as the current number. I’m not sure. XD
Stocks and Oil end Down~

Hm, to best sum up the current market my choice of words is: Tumbling prices + Cheap Gas + Spending= ??? Outcome is uncertain, because people spending will just drive up the prices to levels seen this summer. Anyways, the DOW fell 200+ points, with the S&P and NASDAQ following suit.
This countered with oil dropping to $36 per barrel. Crude oil is said to have fallen anywhere from 60-75% (No one report is the same) from it’s Summer Highs. Meanwhile gasoline has fallen about 59% at the pump, and for 3 days it has been rose to $1.67.
Overall, the economy is has not reached it’s bottom yet. This downturn/recession (or whatever you want to call it) will last -in my opinion- until 2010, when stable growth returns. During next year, oil will stay low (Below $70 I think) and gas will probably hit it’s summer peak at $2.67/gallon before falling for the winter. Again that’s my speculation, it’s not perfect and not guarantee it’s correct at all.
Representatives to Represent

With an average of over 600,000 people, the House of Representatives, has been representing the people less with each generation. The current 435 number has been frozen since 1960 when Alaska and Hawaii temporarily pushed the number to 437. The Senate has had their 2 senators per state since the Constitution has been in effect. With over 300 million people in the U.S. and growing the time to increase the representatives in the U.S. Congress needs to be addressed.
The Senate:
2 Senators per State- Increase the number by 4 so that each state elects 4 Senators every regular election cycle.
The advantages to this would be increased representation, and more access (From the voter view) to their politician. This can help reduce corruption by making removing officials easier from office on charges of misconduct.
The House of Representatives:
Elected by proportion based on population of each state. California has the most at 53. Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota, Delaware, Alaska, and Vermont having one representative each.
Increasing the number of representatives per district (By making each district smaller) will give the “common” man a chance to vote for the one who doesn’t just have the large amounts of money to spend on advertisements and speeches. The U.S. Constitution puts it as 1 per 30,000 for each representative. But due to the large size of the current population, I believe having 1 per 40,000 would be more attainable. But it would make the federal government more easier, and it would crowd out the current Chamber. So that little problem would have to be fixed….
Overall, the number of representatives have decreased as the decades went on due to population growth. Congress remains largely out of reach to the average Joe and the average Politician may spend tons of money just trying to win a 2 or 6 year seat.

Been a long time since I’ve updated here. My apologies. But I’ll list the major events since the last time I posted:
1. Two pets have passed away, both hit by a car by the same neighbor.
2. Sheep (3 ewes and 3 lambs) have been added to our farm. And a dog attacked them and killed two lambs, and the said dog was killed by my stepfather.
3. Finals for Fall 2008 semester, I still don’t know what my grades are yet.
4. Lost a job, so I have two jobs now instead of three. Truth is I’m not missing it much. =P
5. Other than that, day-to-day activites have been relatively the same~
