Just gonna write about one: The Blue Bird of Paradise!
Quite a spectacular bird! Endemic to Papua New Guinea in the highland mountains. But it’s listed as Vulnerable, mainly due to limited habitat and hunting. It’s obvisly easily identified by it’s mainly blue body, with some markings of red and black feathers.

It’s another conspiracy! This time by the very website I’m on! WordPress! XD
There’s a smiley thingy on the lower left hand side of some pages (And this site.)
What’s it’s purpose? Who did it??????
In more interesting news:

I’d never saw that coming. I was more likely to guess South Carolina to have the cheapest gas. But, it’s not cheap. Not at all. It’s flippin’ expensive.
Now for some good news. Since January, the dollar has risen slighty against the euro and pound. Not much but it’s something!

Note: I personally don’t have in my opinion, enough info on Darfur to label it a genocide. I’m working on it.
While any war is tragic in it’s own right, people seem to gravitate to only certain wars/conflicts (ex: Iraq, Darfur.) Each should be given attention but room should be made to other on-going conflicts. Colombia is still fighting it’s rebels, Somalia barely exists, the Chechens are fighting the Russians, and flare-ups exist in Mindanao, Phillipines. And of course, Arab countries vs. Israel.
On Darfur, I barely know what’s going on in terms of who’s fighting who or why it’s occuring. All I know is it’s in West Sudan in the divison known as Darfur. And there’s lot’s of support for Darfur.

What I’ve found is the lack of attention given to West Papua in Indonesia. The territory used to be Dutch New Guinea, slated for independence soon after 1961 when the Morning Star flag was raised along side the Dutch flag. But Indonesia invaded in ‘62. Then to help end the conflict, Papua was given as a trust territory to the UN who transferred control to Indonesia about a year later. In 1969, The (controversal) Act of Free Choice was to be a vote to stay with Indonesia or independence and 100% of those tribal leaders voted for stay.

A bit of history never hurts. It is clear that at least human right abuses have taken place which should be addressed by the gov there. I’m still hesitant to call it a genocide though.

Hopefully, attention will be given to this issue. And hopefully, more information will come out of Indonesia on it’s conduct w/the Papuans. And hopefully, this underdeveloped region of the world will find it’s prosperity.
